Based on the principles of the United Nations’ Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs), and in partnership with ABTA (Association of British Travel Agents), and the Institute of Hospitality, the world’s leading, award-winning professional membership body for hospitality professionals. Hospitality and tourism are some of the fastest growing business sectors in the world, and the UK alone employs over 3 million people in these industries.
This programme will equip students with not only skills linked with tourism and hospitality industries and management practices, but also mindsets to become active advocates for positive social changes and responsible citizens who create a vision for a more sustainable and accessible future. A special feature of this programme are the hands-on experiences. These include the chance to take part in simulations, an internship, industry-facing learning experiences and a international study tour. You will also have the opportunity to study a second language.
This degree will set graduates on course to a variety of careers in the areas of tourism or hospitality management such as: tourism product development manager, food and beverage manager, cruise director, hotel and resort manager, destination marketing and sales, aviation and airport manager, tourism policy, and tour operator businesses. Graduates can also launch their own tourism and hospitality enterprises.
