CSUSB’s Master of Science in Industrial and Organizational (MSIO) Psychology degree program provides a comprehensive slate of IO-specific courses designed to prepare students for immediate entry into careers in applied settings. The program also includes a solid sequence of courses in research methods, statistics, and measurement. The primary objective of the MSIO program is to provide students with the skills to apply the principles and methods of psychology to organizations, public and private, and workplace settings. To be successful in this application, the graduate must have developed knowledge and appreciation of psychological theory and research, and mastery of the measurement and research technologies that are commonly used in the discipline. Students can expect to complete an applied internship, a practicum consulting project, and a thesis with faculty mentoring.
