Our History program has courses covering a wide range of topics, including European, British, Canadian, and American history; the history of First Nations; women’s history; colonial history through a decolonized lens; history and film; witches and witchhunts; and the history of ideas. Course offerings in public history and archival studies will allow you to explore ideas and projects about history as it’s made available in museums, historical sites, and archives. Did you know that Algoma U houses a number of important archives on campus, including those of the Shingwauk Indian Residential School?
