The increasing complexity of health sciences and the health-care industry has placed a growing importance on the skills required of health-care professionals. You will acquire the foundations for excellence in clinical practice along with the lifelong learning, research, teamwork and leadership skills essential for a successful career in the health field.
Public health considers health from the perspective of communities, from a neighbourhood to national and international levels. You will learn about the health status of populations, inequities in health, determinants of health and illness, strategies for health promotion, disease and injury prevention, health protection, and factors that influence the delivery an use of health services.
Applicants to bachelor’s degree programs must have obtained a secondary school diploma. This diploma must be eligible to access further academic studies in the country where it has been obtained.
Hold a four-year honours undergraduate degree in in an academic discipline relevant to the proposed field of study, or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
Minimum score of 180 with no band lower than 170.
Minimum score of 70 with no sub-score below 60.
Minimum score of 110 (Education and Nursing programs require a total score of 120).
Overall score of 6.5 with no sub-score less than 6.0 (Education and Nursing programs require an overall score of 7.0).

Internet-based test (iBT) with a total score of 83 (Education and Nursing programs require a total score of 87), and minimum scaled scores of Listening: 20; Reading: 20; Speaking: 19; and Writing: 20. TOEFL iBT Home Edition results are also considered acceptable. Paper-delivered test results will be reviewed on an individual basis.

Ontario Tech University International Merit Awards are for international secondary school students entering an undergraduate program on a study permit.
