The Health and Medical Sciences Pre-Masters programme provides the subject knowledge, language proficiency and study skills you need to progress to postgraduate degree study at the University of Surrey in a related field.

During the one and two-semester Pre-Masters programme you will study a core unit of general subject skills and subject-specific units, which are carefully designed for your academic development.

Undergraduate academic requirements

  • An approved Level 2 equivalent qualification including country equivalent
  • Successful completion of the appropriate Pre-sessional English Language programme offered by the University of Surrey, provided it is completed immediately preceding the main degree programme or with exceptional agreement

Postgraduate academic requirements

  • Completion of a bachelor's degree (four or five years) in a suitable subject from a recognised university with a minimum grade of Second Class Honours Lower Division (2

    2) or equivalent.
