The MSc Economics is a stimulating and challenging programme that provides international quality training in Economics and Econometrics.
Through a combination of theoretical principles and empirical tools, the programme emphasises problem solving and equips successful graduates with economic, quantitative and communication skills that are highly sought by employers in the public and private sectors.
Recent graduates have taken up positions at institutions like the Central Bank of Ireland, the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI), the Irish Government Economic and Evaluation Service (IGEES) and the Central Statistics Office, while others have pursued careers in economic consultancy, economic development, retail and investment banking, financial services and fund management. MU Sports Scholarships MU Sports Scholarships are designed to support sporting excellence - we want out students to pursue and excel in their sport and academic study at Maynooth University. Scholarship funding assists undergraduate or postgraduate students with sports and university-related expenses (e.g. sporting equipment, travel costs associated with sport) and aims to free up time from part-time work commitments.
The following Maynooth University sports scholarships may be awarded:
September 2023 Undergraduate Scholarships
The scholarship comprises a 2,000 Euro per year reduction in the undergraduate non-EU tuition fee.
A separate application is not required. You must have been offered and accepted a place on one of our undergraduate programmes and paid your deposit by 31 March 2023. Open to full and conditional offer holders.
Graduate
Taught Master's Scholarships
€2,000 to students across all disciplines in recognition of academic excellence.
All applicants must have achieved a minimum 2.1 honours undergraduate degree. Open to both EU and Non-EU applicants. Graduates or current students of PhD or Master’s programs are not eligible to apply. A further €2000 scholarship will be awarded to applicants ordinarily resident in Ireland and registered with their Higher Education Institution Access Office and meet the eligibility requirement.
September 2023 Taught Postgraduate Scholarships
9 scholarships (3 per faculty) at 2,500 Euro reduction for the first year of a taught postgraduate programme only. The scholarship does not cover tuition fees for repeat years.
A separate application is not required. You must have been offered and accepted a place on one of our taught postgraduate programmes and paid your deposit by 31 March 2023 . Open to full and conditional offer holders.
