The two-year Master of Arts in Design Innovation offers an innovative vision and approach to creativity and the design industry. Its objective is to establish and anticipate cross-cultural directions of multi-faceted themes.

Design is undergoing a pivotal, paradigmatic shift as it moves into contemporary contexts. As pressing social and environmental issues converge with the continuous development of advanced technologies, possibilities are expanding around what and how we design and the type of experiences we create.

Portfolio Competition

  • The competition is open to candidates with a first-level academic degree and strong background and experience in the fields of Fashion, Design, Architecture, Visual Arts, Communication and Business, as well as junior professionals working or willing to work in creative industries. Candidates with a background in other related disciplines and more comprehensive experience may also participate.
  • Students holding a bachelor's degree can apply to this portfolio-based competition, the academic committee will evaluate all portfolios and award a scholarship ranging from EUR 3,000 to EUR 5,500 to the most outstanding ones. The programmes that don´t require a portfolio (Service Design, Business Design, Luxury Brand Management and Fashion Management) can also participate in this call.

Project Competition

  • Students are required to present a project related to their area of interest. Domus will provide the brief and basis to develop it.
  • The average amount ranges from EUR 6,000 to EUR 9,000
