What Georgian College says about their program:
In a dental laboratory environment, you develop skills in design and fabrication of dentures including complete and partial prosthetics and implants. You use a problem-solving framework basing all decisions, judgments and interventions on current theory and research. An emphasis is placed on interprofessional education and learning to work within a collaborative oral health-care team. You employ technologies to design and fabricate digital dentures with the help of computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software, scanners, 3-D printers, and bench mills. Legal and ethical responsibilities are stressed. In preparation for employment, you practice and enhance your knowledge and skills of denture design and fabrication procedures in an external professional laboratory.
