You will master foundational cooking skills, take courses in international and contemporary American cuisine, learn principles of management, and develop skills in hiring, training, and leading staff.

Scholarships at Laney College

    Official page

    A $500 scholarship offered through the Peralta Colleges Foundation scholarship portal, open to students at any of the four Peralta Community College District colleges, including Laney College. Eligibility is explicitly limited to students whose "Citizenship Status is International Student" (i.e., F-1 international students), requiring a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, at least 12 completed units at Peralta, and at least one remaining semester at Peralta. This makes it one of the few named awards on the portal that is expressly open to non-domestic undergraduates rather than requiring US citizenship, FAFSA, or California residency-based aid (e.g. BOG fee waiver).
