The Criminology program will prepare you to study the frequency, location and causes of crime. You’ll learn how to collect data, analyze your findings and present policy recommendations. And the program will teach you the analytical, research and organizational skills needed to improve the criminal legal system for both victims and offenders. In the program, you’ll learn about the processes and institutions of the criminal legal system. You’ll learn how law enforcement, courts, corrections and community organizations address crime in society. Through program coursework, you’ll be able to examine structural challenges, behavior patterns and criminal trends.

  • Each graduate program establishes its own application and admission standards, and deadlines. Pathway GPA requires a 2.3 to 2.75 GPA; Direct Entry requires a 2.5 to 4.0 GPA

    Official page

    The Global DePaul Scholarship is DePaul University's merit-based award for incoming international freshmen, worth $12,000 to $32,000 per year. All international undergraduate applicants are automatically considered for this scholarship when they apply for admission -- no separate application is required. The award amount is determined based on high school GPA and is communicated in the student's admission letter. It is renewable for up to four consecutive years (12 quarters) of undergraduate study, provided the recipient maintains good academic standing, enrolls full-time each quarter, and completes a minimum of 36 quarter hours during Fall, Winter, and Spring quarters. Because this scholarship is explicitly aimed at "all international students" applying to DePaul as freshmen, it is directly open to international undergraduates.
