Learn more about studying Community Development as an international student.

What Algoma University says about their program:
Learn to work alongside people in communities to effect change by helping to identify common concerns and solutions, and to build relationships with organizations and those in positions of power. Our program has a specific focus on northern, rural, remote communities, and Indigenous populations. You will learn how to create opportunities for communities to learn new skills and foster social inclusion and equity by empowering people to act together. In your third year, you’ll have the opportunity to expand your classroom learning (and your professional network) in a 150-hour field placement with a community organization, linking your theoretical knowledge to practice.
