Coding is a part of the software development workflow that draws on software designs and business requirements to realize the implementation of new software systems. Our daily activities are becoming increasingly integrated and reliant on computing technologies. The expertise required to develop new systems using these technologies is in high demand. Coding is an important aspect of work in specialized fields such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data Analytics, mobile technologies, and web services.

Admission requirements

Undergraduate academic requirements

You must complete upper secondary qualifications that are equivalent to Canadian Grade 12. This may include:

  • Form Six
  • Five O-levels plus at least two A-levels
  • GCE/General Certificate of Education or equivalent

Postgraduate academic requirements

  • 3.0 GPA on a four-year degree and 2-3 years of work experience (varies depending on the program).

English proficiency

  • IELTS

    6.5 or higher with a minimum band score of 6.0

  • TOEFL iBT

    88 or higher with no section below 20 (includes Home Edition)

    61 with 60 in writing
