The M.B.A. program supports students’ career advancement by preparing them for positions of leadership in an increasingly diverse and globally competitive economy. The program is centered on the rigorous knowledge of the basic functional areas of business, an appreciation of management challenges in a global context, and opportunities to develop students’ interpersonal and executive leadership skills.The Operations and Supply Chain Management (OSCM) concentration prepares students to effectively and efficiently manage resources, processes, and quality in order to satisfy customer expectations in the challenging environment of global competition. The concentration synthesizes global operations, purchasing, logistics, and distribution into a cohesive strategy that will enable the student to substantially increase efficiency and reduce waste of resources in organizations and their supply chains. The concentration provides education in modern theories, business practices, and applications associated with the successful development and management of supply chains in service and manufacturing. Students in this concentration will develop in-depth knowledge and specialized skills in utilizing modern methods of project management, service operations management, enterprise resources planning, lean management and six-sigma quality, supply chain planning, logistics, procurement and purchasing, strategic sourcing, and e-commerce supply chains. Upon completion of the OSCM concentration, students will be capable to get employed at a wide-range of middle- to upper-level management jobs in service and production operations analysis, planning and scheduling, quality management, logistics, sourcing, and purchasing/procurement.

English proficiency waivers
Undergraduate TOEFL or IELTS can be waived for applicants who meet English proficiency by coursework as follows:
- Transferred from a U.S. college with 60 or more semester units with a minimum grade point average of 2.4, and have completed a transfer course in each of the following general education areas with a grade of 2.0 or better
English composition, speech, critical thinking, and mathematics.
Postgraduate
- TOEFL or IELTS can be waived for applicants who received a bachelor’s degree or higher from a U.S. college or university, or an international college or university OR demonstrated 3 years of full-time academic study at a post-secondary level in a country where the language of instruction was English as accepted by Cal State East Bay.
