The Archaeology programme (Baccalauréat en archéologie) is an undergraduate degree offered at Université Laval. It provides both theoretical and practical training in excavation techniques and in the analysis and interpretation of artefacts, material culture and environmental data.

The programme is multidisciplinary, drawing on earth sciences, biological sciences, exact sciences and the humanities and social sciences. Students explore several cultural areas and develop the skills needed to collaborate with specialists from other fields of study.

The programme suits people who are passionate about humanity and its material traces and who enjoy reading, digging and researching. Graduates apply their knowledge to the protection of archaeological heritage and can work in excavation, research, heritage management, or museums and government agencies.
