Africana Studies - Library and Archival Studies is the sole pre-professional major in the Humanities wing of the College of Arts and Sciences. Drawing together courses in the Digital Humanities, courses on indigenous and African American history and literature, and a new Library and Archival Foundations course, this major offers students opportunities to work in hands on ways with materials related to local African American and/or indigenous history, and to prepare to enter the fields of museum conservation, archival management, and library information science.
