What Middle Tennessee State University says about their program:
The Aerospace Technology program offers preparation for students who want to pursue advanced study at the graduate level. The curriculum includes a rigorous lineup of coursework in mathematics, the sciences, engineering technology, and the more technical courses in aerospace. The concentration’s curriculum requires the completion of minors in Mathematics and Engineering Technology, two semesters of computer programming and calculus-based physics, and the completion of a senior research project. Aerospace Technology students have access to an array of research resources to include wind tunnels; water tunnels; small, unmanned aircraft; computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software operating on workstation computers; and undergraduate grant funding provided by MTSU’s Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities (URECA) program. Motivated Aerospace Technology students with high academic ability are encouraged to choose a double major in either Professional Mathematics or Professional Physics. The mission of the Aerospace - Technology Concentration is to prepare our students to become the leaders of the next generation of aerospace professionals by developing the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for successful careers in aerospace.
