The profession of accounting is constantly growing and changing—in theory and practice—and comprises areas such as financial reporting, auditing, cost and managerial accounting, taxation, internal control and risk assessment, forensic accounting and data analytics, to name a few.

In today’s world, accountants play a significant role as part of senior management, or are consultants and business advisors to senior management when working for professional service firms. Employers are competing with one another to hire fresh accounting graduates. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, “Employment of accountants and auditors is projected to grow 6 percent from 2021 to 2031.”

A BBA in accounting will not only give you a broad-based liberal arts education with a strong background in business but will also provide you with a sound foothold in a career that is in high demand, is highly specialized and offers tremendous diversity in areas of specialization.

  • Requirements

    Adelphi University will be offering two first-time university students who are not US citizens or permanent residents and who have attended high school outside of the US.

Undergraduate international students are eligible for merit, talent and athletic scholarships. All undergraduate applicants are reviewed for a scholarship recommendation once a complete application is submitted. There is no separate scholarship application. Candidates are generally notified within three weeks of their acceptance letter.
