This course is distinctive in its focus on using financial skills in organisations. You develop hard and soft accounting skills as well as the interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively in the challenging business environment.
If you already hold a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA and ICAEW, you only need to undertake two modules to complete the award - Current Issues in Accounting and Research, and the Accounting Dissertation.

For entry to postgraduate certificates (PgCert), postgraduate diplomas (PgDip), or a master's degree you normally need one of the following:

Vice Chancellor's Scholarship
There are up to 30 Vice-Chancellor's Scholarships available, of £5,000 each, allocated as a fee waiver in the first year of study.

International Scholarship
£2,500 as a fee waiver for your first full academic year of undergraduate study, or for the overall fees owed for one or two-year postgraduate students. This scholarship is guaranteed for international students joining Teesside University London in January 2026.
Be a full-time, first year, international undergraduate or postgraduate student at Teesside University London. Must be an international fee payer at Teesside University London and studying on campus in London. Not available to EU students, students on pathway/foundation programs at Teesside University International Study Centre, or students studying courses outside the UK.
International Development Scholarship
The Scholarship value is £3,000 in your first full academic year of study
A full-time sponsored or self-funding student, paying international fees. Applying from one of the following countries or regions: Nepal, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Morocco, Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Cameroon, Hong Kong, Kazakhstan, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Ukraine, any EU member country, an international student applying to Teesside University from a UK-based private school.
Deans' International Scholarships
A Scholarship of £3,000 is allocated as a fee waiver in your first full academic year of study
On a foundation, undergraduate or postgraduate program in the School of Social Sciences, Humanities & Law or in the School of Arts & Creative Industries, applying to study at Teesside for the first time. A full-time sponsored or self-funding student, paying international fees.
Global Excellence Scholarships
The Scholarship value is £2,000 in your first full academic year of study
On a foundation, undergraduate or postgraduate program, applying to study at Teesside for the first time. Excludes students on pathway/foundation programs at Teesside University International Study Centre, however you may be considered for this scholarship on progression to a full degree program at Teesside University. A full-time sponsored or self-funding student, paying international fees.
British Council GREAT Scholarships
Worth up to £10,000
For students from Turkey, Malaysia and Indonesia. Applications are open until 30 April 2023. Candidates will be automatically considered for this scholarship. A full-time sponsored or self-funding student, paying international fees.
