Study abroad at the University of Kansas

The University of Kansas (KU) is a public research university based in Lawrence, with several smaller campuses and centers located across the state of Kansas, US. It is the state’s flagship university, offering more than 400 degree and certificate programs.

KU’s Academic Accelerator Program is designed to help international students transition into life studying in the US. They provide additional language and academic assistance, and will help you prepare for your future career after graduation. You’ll be able to choose from over 200 undergraduate degrees while you improve your English skills and acclimate to life at KU.

You will have access to all the Universities facilities, and can live on campus to get the full American college experience. KU’s main campus in Lawrence occupies more than 1,000 acres and offers plenty of amenities including dining venues, sports facilities, theaters, libraries and a health center.

Considered one the most beautiful campuses in the nation, KU's central campus occupies 1,000 acres on and around historic Mount Oread in Lawrence, a community of about 100,000 in the forested hills in eastern Kansas. Life at the University of Kansas

KU is home to more than 2,200 international students, giving campus an inclusive and diverse student community.

As a student of the Academic Accelerator Program you’ll get dedicated support to help you with any personal, academic or technical problems you might face. They provide an airport pick up service to make your first day as easy as possible, and you’ll attend orientation before the start of term where you’ll learn all about the university and local area.

At KU there are more than 600 student organizations and clubs you can join, with 32 sports clubs, 28 intramural sports leagues, and 16 top division sports teams. The University’s sports teams are called the Jayhawks, and compete in NCAA Division I.
