Scholarships at University of Dayton
The University of Dayton automatically considers every admitted international undergraduate student for this merit-based award as soon as the application and required documents are received. The majority of international undergraduate students end up receiving an award, worth up to $33,000 per year toward tuition costs. No separate application is required, and the exact amount depends on academic achievement. The university does not offer full-tuition scholarships, so this award is designed to reduce, not eliminate, tuition costs for international students.
Promoted directly on the University of Dayton's international undergraduate scholarships page, these are recurring scholarship opportunities offered by MPOWER Financing specifically to support international students in funding their education. A new scholarship theme opens on the first day of each summer month, with applications accepted through the last Friday of that month via MPOWER's website. Because MPOWER's programs are built for international students who often lack access to U.S.-based financial aid, this is an option UD lists as relevant and open to its international undergraduate population.
This scholarship covers the cost of course materials each semester through the University Bookstore for incoming first-year undergraduates. While the standard route requires a campus visit and filing the FAFSA, the university explicitly states that international students starting at UD are also able to qualify for the textbook scholarship, using a campus visit or video visit in place of the FAFSA requirement. The award is restricted to purchases of required course materials.
