The university provides facilities for all students regardless of field of study. All these facilities are readily available to students and everyone has an equal opportunity of accessing these. Facilities such as the writing and tutoring centers are just a few examples. Social life at SUU is actually pretty great considering the ongoing pandemic. Activites are still fun and effective while still observing Covid-19 protocols. International Students are assisted with weekly trips to Wal-Mart and other stores to ensure everyone is well prepared to handle school.

Southern Utah University (SUU) is known as the university of the parks as we are located near at least 20 National Parks, Monuments, and Recreation Areas such as horseback riding among the red rock hoodoos of Bryce Canyon National Park, hike to the top of Angel’s Landing in Zion National Park, cool caves at Great Basin National Park, or boating at Lake Mead National Recreation Area and more. I've visited Bryce Canyon National Park and the experience was amazing, it was like I was in a movie as the views and scenes were epic. SUU is a university that provides help and assistance for all its students. The campus has a wide variety resources and services to help students to develop and succeed academically, physically, emotionally and financially. There is somewhere on campus to help with these needs, just to name a few, Academic Advising/Student Success Advisors,(helps with academic guidance/planning) Campus Recreation (comprise of fitness center, open recreation, intramural sports), Career Center (provides career development and job search services), International Student & Scholar Services (promotes the academic and social success of international students and scholars) and Counselling and Psychological Services (offers individual, group, and couples counselling). There is also Dining Services on campus which includes dinning hall, Outtakes, Chick-fil-A, Papa John's and more. The issue I had is that I couldn't find anywhere that serves Jamaican food which was expected as I'm not in Jamaica but I found it ok to eat at the dinning hall, the food is healthy and provides you with a variety of meals that has a reasonable taste.
