Student reviews for Salem College
Salem felt like home. Twenty five years ago the campus offered everything we needed -- well-stocked library, access to periodicals, exercise and swim facilities, computer labs, and a large community of sisters (and an occasional brother) with whom to hang out! If there wasn't a college party on campus, there were lots of area clubs and bars from which to choose. On a recent visit to campus I noticed how Salem College has evolved to meet the needs of the current generation, but also retained the charm of its historic dorms, green spaces, brick walkways, and the white rocking chairs in Main Hall. Winston-Salem has also become a booming metro area with a hopping downtown scene just a few blocks away from campus.
The school is very open ideologically. Social life is present on and around campus.
