Student reviews for Rowan University
Rowan has pretty good facilities including the two rec centers/ gyms, a big library with different study areas with computers. There are a variety of clubs you can join and easily find a circle of friends you like. Rowan has a home environment, I found my home at Rowan and was very difficult to move out for grad school. Also great social life with Rowan After Hours.
Accommodation is so expensive actually which was surprising.
The public transport links are a bit poor to be honest, Commute from anywhere outside of a 10-15 mile radius will take over 2 hours, NJ, PA or DE. However, there is housing available around the campus and its quiet and calm around the campus.
My experience at Rowan has been amazing. The teaching as well as non-teaching staff at Rowan is extremely helpful and well qualified which in turn proves to be very helpful for approaching to any day to day problems I come across. Being an international student, it was initially difficult for me to communicate fluently and understand certain things such as course registration, fee payments, accommodation etc. but, the staff at Rowan made it manageable through their immense support. I was in constant contact with the Rowan employees International student center even before coming to the US. I was very happy to their timely response to my emails and WhatsApp messages.
The school of medicine is on a separate campus in the middle of the suburbs so there is't much surrounding it
