Lipscomb University is a private, Christian liberal arts institution based in Nashville, Tennessee, US. Founded in 1891, Lipscomb offers a strong choice of respected degree programs that international students can study.

They offer high ranking programs in business and engineering, as well as nationally recognized degrees in health, pharmacy, education, music, marketing, accounting, and more. In total, the university delivers nearly 200 degree programs across 10 colleges.

The University campus has a lot to offer outside of the classroom with regular events and activities. You can get involved in yoga, salsa and hip-hop fitness, or take part in annual events like the Bison Boogie race. Off-campus you can try activities like hiking, horseback riding and canoeing.

Sports and athletics are a big part of life at Lipscomb, and the University’s teams compete as the Bisons in NCAA Division I, which is the highest level of intercollegiate sports. There are 17 athletics teams that you can get involved with, or go along and show your support with the rest of campus.

Trustee Scholarship Each year, a select number of incoming freshmen are awarded this prestigious full-tuition scholarship through an interview and application process.

  • Requirements

    To apply for this scholarship, you must have scored a: 30 or higher on the ACT OR 1360 or better on the SAT OR a 97 or higher on the CLT, including superscores. Additionally, applicants must have a cumulative high school GPA of at least 3.5. Weighted GPAs will be considered. If you receive this scholarship, you are required to live on campus and maintain a GPA of 3.25 or better. This scholarship is not stackable with any other institutional aid. Students who apply to the university as test-optional must submit an official test score to be eligible for this scholarship.

Life at Lipscomb University

Lipscomb University has an open and inclusive Christian community that represents more than 35 religious preferences, 50 countries and almost every state in the US.

Your journey at Lipscomb University will start at the international study center, where you’ll study alongside other international students. This gives you an introduction to life at Lipscomb and allows you to build you confidence and improve your English skills before you start your degree.

All international students will live on campus, and Lipscomb has seven options for on-campus living. Each residence hall has a live in residential hall director and student resident assistants who can help you settle in and get to know the local area.

There are more than 50 student organizations you can get involved with, including playing in a jazz band or orchestra, going on camping trips, learning a foreign language or volunteering in the community.
