Scholarships at Gonzaga University

  • First-Year Merit Scholarship

    Official page

Automatic, need-blind merit scholarship worth $23,500-$32,000/year, guaranteed for four years for entering freshmen (or first-year transfers with under 30 semester credits). All applicants who complete the Application for Admission are automatically considered - no separate form, no FAFSA/WASFA, and no US citizenship or residency requirement. Gonzaga is test-optional. Because eligibility depends only on the admission application (academic record, essay quality, extracurriculars, optional test scores), international undergraduates are equally eligible and are explicitly told on Gonzaga's international-admission scholarships page that a wide range of Gonzaga scholarships are open to them.

  • Honors Program Scholarship

    Official page

Award of $1,800/year plus a waiver of excess-credit fees for students admitted into Gonzaga's Honors Program via application and portfolio review. Selection is based on intellectual achievement, leadership, creativity, and resilience; the program is test-optional and has no minimum GPA, US citizenship, or residency requirement, so international undergraduate applicants can apply on the same basis as domestic students.

  • Music Scholarship

    Official page

A scholarship of varying value open to incoming or transfer students of any intended major who are accepted to Gonzaga, submit an application to the Music Department, and complete a live or recorded audition. There is no citizenship or FAFSA requirement, and the transfer-scholarship section of the page explicitly states that international students may be considered for all scholarships listed, which includes this award.

  • Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Scholarship

    Official page

A $3,000/year scholarship for transfer students who list at least one year of participation in the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society on their admission application; no separate application or FAFSA is required. This award is listed in the transfer-scholarships section, which Gonzaga explicitly states international students may be considered for.

  • Transfer Merit Scholarship

    Official page

Need-blind merit scholarship for transfer students worth $14,500-$27,000/year, automatically awarded based on review of the Transfer Application (GPA, curriculum strength, optional test scores) with no separate form required. Gonzaga's scholarship page states directly: 'International students may be considered for all transfer scholarships listed below,' so this award is explicitly open to international undergraduates transferring in with 30+ prior credits.

  • Transfer Opportunity Scholarship

    Official page

A $4,000/year scholarship for transfer students, automatically considered based on review of the admission application and financial information.
