Dallas Baptist University (DBU) is a comprehensive, global Christ-centered university, based in Dallas, USA. The University aims to produce future leaders through the integration of faith and learning. DBU was founded in 1898 and is set across a 368-acre campus in the rolling hills of southwestern Dallas.

At DBU you can study a wide range of degrees, with more than 80 majors and 30 minors available for you to choose from. Programs are available in a host of exciting subjects including business, communication, education, fine arts, maths and science, and social sciences.

The University’s awesome campus has everything you’ll need as an international student. Computer labs are available to use seven days a week, as is the fully-stocked library. DBU’s fitness center is also free to use for all students and includes gym facilities.

There are also a huge array of student clubs and organizations you can join to help you immerse yourself in life on campus. Events like Homecoming Week and Spring Sing mean there’s always something fun and exciting to look forward to.

Life at Dallas Baptist University

DBU is a truly global university that serves hundreds of international students from over 50 different countries.

The University has a large International Center with staff from all over the world who are dedicated to meeting the needs of every international student. There is a range of support services available to help you, including tutoring that can help boost your writing, reading, and conversation skills.

There’s also a free shuttle service that will help you make trips to the grocery store, meet friends, or just get around campus. Airport pickup also means you’ll see a friendly face when you arrive at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.

Living on campus is a big part of the DBU experience, and there are several housing options for international students to choose from. In your first year, you’ll live in residence halls, where you can develop academically, socially, and spiritually. After this, more housing options are available including apartments and townhomes.

    Dallas Baptist University is an institution that values Christ-Centered Education. Over 10% of our student population are international students from all over the world. We value intercultural studies and culture exchanges here in DBU.

    We have a great International Student Services that guides and helps international students with all matters. We also have a great DSO immigration team that supports the international students with CPT and OPT.

    Not only that, we have great degree programs that will allow students to be successful in the future.

    Most students do Optional Practical Training (OPT) after graduating from DBU. They are most likely able to find a job here in Dallas which is economically growing and seeking employees.
