The University of Sheffield is a top ranked public research university located in the historic English city of Sheffield. It offers a wide range of degree programs, and is a founder member of the Worldwide Universities Network (WUN), a consortium of 18 research-led universities from around the world.
The University offers a range of pathway programs for international students through its International College. This is a dedicated facility which aims to prepare you for the academic demands of the University, and ease you into life studying in England.
Programs include a pre-master’s program that offers a pathway to postgraduate study in one of five areas: economics, information studies, law, management, and society and environment. The International College buildings are all on campus and within walking distance of other university facilities and accommodation.
The College’s facilities include over 35 classrooms, five student study zones, meeting rooms, a laboratory, and the latest technology including lecture capture facilities. As a student of the International College you’ll also have access to all the University's facilities including libraries and the students’ union.

The University of Sheffield is currently home to more than 8,000 international students from 150 countries currently, so you won’t feel alone. The International College has a number of student advisers who will be available to help you from the moment you choose to study at Sheffield.
There are also over 100 members of staff dedicated to supporting you while you’re studying at the College. You’ll have an academic tutor who will help you identify your strengths and areas of development throughout your program.
Living on campus is a big part of university life, and a place in halls is available to all international students. You’ll live in the brand new St Vincent’s Place, which is located next door to The University of Sheffield International College. It is staffed 24 hours a day, and all rooms are single occupancy and include self-catering facilities.
