University West is an exciting and modern university based in the picturesque Swedish city of Trollhättan. The University aims to offer programs that are in close collaboration with working life in an attractive, modern study environment.
At University West, you can study 26 undergraduate programs, and 16 programs at postgraduate levels. Subjects and areas you can study include computing and IT, economy and leadership, healthcare, teaching, languages, media, and technology.
At University West, work-integrated learning plays an important role in many programs where students gain work experience while studying.
The campus is centrally located in Trollhättan and is close to cafés, cinemas, restaurants, and sports facilities. Life at the University West
University West has a growing international student population, and there are currently 500 students from overseas representing 50 different countries.
The University arranges several activities specifically for international students, designed to help you settle into life in Sweden. These include a trip to Liseberg Amusement Park, a language cafe, and shopping at IKEA.
All students benefit from a range of support services, including a health service, study counseling, and academic study resources and classes.
As an international student, you’ll be offered accommodation arranged by the municipal and private landlords in cooperation with University West. The number of student rooms is limited and places cannot be guaranteed for everybody beforehand, so it’s worth applying early for accommodation.

University West is located at Trollhattan, about 40 minutes by train to Gothenburg the second largest city in Sweden. It is not difficult to find transport to anywhere you want to go but with social life due to the coronavirus I didn't see much but it was not bad because the student union used to organise programs.
