Study abroad at the University of Limerick

The University of Limerick (UL) is located in Limerick, Ireland. The University’s campus has many green spaces with trees, fountains and the Shannon river flowing through it. The University is independent and internationally focused.

There are around 15,500 students and 1,300 staff. Students can study a range of programs up to doctoral and postdoctoral levels in the disciplines of arts, humanities and social sciences, business, education and health sciences, science and engineering.

At the heart of the University is The Student Center. The Center represents the student body and is the home of student officers, UL student life staff, and clubs and societies for students to get involved with. UL students have the option to live on campus in one of the University’s student villages, so you’ll be close to all the amenities and facilities you need.

Life at the University of Limerick

UL Student Life is the representative body for 15,500 UL students, and each student automatically becomes a member of the Union upon enrolling at the University. Student officers represent and help you with any problems you may have during your time at UL.

International students are offered a seven day orientation program, enabling students to meet others and get to know the campus before classes start. The International Office is there to organize events and engage the international community all year, with trips and activities.The International Office is also there to help with any cultural, social or academic issues international students face.
