Haaga-Helia is a business-focused university of applied sciences in Finland. The University’s education, research and development, prepares students for their future careers. Haaga-Helia focuses on cooperation, entrepreneurship, innovation, and internationality.

They offer students eight bachelor's programs and three master's programs taught in English. The University consists of five campuses, 650 faculty, and specialists, 1,100 international degree students, and it has 200 partner universities around the world.

Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences campuses are located in Helsinki, Porvoo, and Vierumäki. Three of the campuses are in the Finnish capital Helsinki: Haaga, Malmi, and Pasila. The Pasila campus is the largest campus, located next to the Pasila Railway Station.

Haaga-Helia runs programs in international business, hospitality management, information technology, tourism, aviation business, sports management, service solutions, and languages. Pasila campus also offers master's degree programs in aviation and tourism business, business technologies (ICT), and leading business transformation.

Funding

Early Bird Scholarship

  • First year can get 25% off tuition fee.
  • For applicants who accept their study place within 14 days and pay the tuition fee of the first semester within 30 days of receiving the acceptance letter.

Academic merit-based scholarships

  • Applicants for undergraduate programs exceeding SAT scores of 1450 points will be offered a study place at Haaga-Helia with a 50% scholarship of the entire degree. Five such scholarships are offered per year (2 for the January intake, 3 for the August intake).

Master-level scholarships

  • Students can apply for two different scholarships.
  • A scholarship based on study progress can be awarded to a Master's degree student who has completed a minimum of 60 ECTS credits during the two consecutive semesters 1 & 2.
  • A scholarship based on statutory graduation time can be awarded to a student who has graduated during the second or third semester.
  • Both of these scholarships are 20% of the semesterly tuition fee.

Haaga-Helia is the most international university of applied sciences in Finland. More than 1,100 international students attend the University, and Haaga-Helia also has a network of over 200 partner universities abroad. As a student, you have the opportunity to study abroad and become involved in international projects.

Haaga-Helia offers international students services in English, including arrival service, an extensive orientation program, accommodation options, Finnish language, and cultural studies, counseling, and career support services. During free time you have plenty of trips, activities, and events to choose from both on and off-campus.
