The University of New Brunswick (UNB) was established in 1785 and is Canada’s oldest English-language university. It’s a public university with two campus locations both in New Brunswick, with the original campus in Fredericton, and a smaller campus in Saint John.

UNB is one of Canada’s top comprehensive universities, with more than 75 programs available at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The University is made up of more than 10 faculties, including art, business, education, engineering, law, nursing, and science.

There are a variety of on-campus accommodation options, including traditional dorms and modern, suite-style rooms. First-year students are encouraged to live on campus, as this gives you the freedom of living on your own while having the support you need to transition successfully to university life in Canada.

International students can be considered for scholarships once they are accepted and while studying at the University of New Brunswick. New UNB students will be assessed for scholarship support at the same time they’re being assessed for admission to their program. They are also encouraged to submit an entrance scholarship application. All continuing UNB students need to submit a scholarship application each year to be considered for scholarship support.
