Toronto Film School offers a range of diploma programs including film production; video game design; acting for film, TV, and the theatre; writing for film and TV; and graphic design. BIPOC Creative Achievement Award

  • Toronto Film School in partnership with BMO is proud to contribute to the diversity of Canada’s creative industry workforce through this exciting new award that alleviates financial barriers for Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC) creatives. Every quarter, one student—currently enrolled full time in any of our on-campus programs—will be selected to receive tuition credits valued at $1,250.

Creative Success Award

  • Designed for Toronto Film School Video Game Design & Animation and Video Game Design & Development students who are in their first term. This award is dedicated to the memory of Kurt Huhn, a 2019 Video Game Design & Development program graduate. This award honours attributes that we admired in Kurt and seek to recognize in his fellow students. This unique award will not be judged on academic merit. Rather, the award will be given to a current full-time gaming student who demonstrates passion, potential and creativity in their studies. Every quarter, one recipient will be selected to receive $2500 in tuition credits.

Life at Toronto Film School

By choosing Toronto Film School, you’ll be studying in one of the best cities in Canada. Toronto has many opportunities within the ever-growing creative industries. Toronto has been chosen by Netflix as one of its key production locations, and it also hosts the yearly Toronto International Film Festival.

You’ll also be studying with people from many different countries in an inspiring and high-energy environment. You’ll be mentored by practicing industry professionals and collaborate with peers across different creative programs. You’ll gain real-world industry experience, working in cross-industry teams and building meaningful professional connections.

After completing your diploma program, you’ll have an opportunity to continue your studies with the university pathway program. You’ll do just two additional years of the creative arts program at Yorkville University to earn your bachelor’s degree.

Toronto Film School will help you find the right accommodation for you close to campus. You can find housing in a shared apartment, private rooms, or you could stay with a HomeStay family. This is a great way to immerse yourself in Canadian culture and will give you a safe family environment to live and study in.
