Global Leadership Award (application-based)
If you are an international secondary-school student entering an undergraduate program at the university on a study permit and are currently studying outside of Canada, you can apply for the university's Global Leadership Award (GLA).The GLA is one of our most prestigious entrance awards. Valued at $72,000 CAD ($18,000 a year for four years), the GLA recognizes international secondary school applicants with strong academic and leadership abilities. Canadian citizens and permanent residents are not eligible for the GLA.
International Leaders Award (ILA)
If you are an international secondary school student entering an undergraduate program at the university on a study permit and are currently studying outside of Canada, you may be eligible for the ILA.The ILA is an entrance award that recognizes high-achieving international students entering an undergraduate program at Ontario Tech University for September 2023 intake. Valued at $10,000 CAD, this one-year scholarship will be awarded to eligible students that have applied for the Global Leadership Award. A maximum of five will be awarded.
International Merit Awards
If you are an international secondary school student entering an undergraduate program at the university on a study permit and are currently studying outside of Canada, you may be eligible for one of the university's Merit Awards.International Merit Awards—valued at up to $4,000 CAD—are automatically awarded to the top applicants with the highest admission grade-point-average from each of the identified regions. The Merit Awards are non-renewable.
In-course scholarships
If you have achieved a minimum 3.7 GPA (on a 4.3 scale) during the previous year and you are returning to full-time study, you will be automatically awarded a scholarship. - **4.0+ GPA:** $1,500 - **3.7 - 3.99 GPA:** $1,000These scholarships may be increased to $3,000 and $4,000 through generous contributions from our donors.

In-course scholarships are available for up to three years of your first undergraduate degree. To be considered, you must have been enrolled in a minimum 80 per cent course load during your previous academic year.
