You will automatically be considered for entrance scholarships if you have an admission average of 80% or above. Awarded to entering students who demonstrate: extracurricular involvement, leadership experience, community service, work/internship experience, academic achievement, etc.
Marjorie Young Bell Scholarship

CAD$48,000 (CAD$12,000 per year) plus CAD$8,000 guaranteed internship
- Requirements
Outstanding high school graduates. Demonstrated strong academic ability, leadership capability, volunteer work, extracurricular activities, work experience, and good citizenship. Achieve a 3.5 GPA with a course load of 30 course credits between the fall and winter terms combined. Community involvement. Three reference letters and an essay (question emailed to you once application for admission is submitted). Submit your application and supporting documents by March 1.
Bell Family Achievement Award

- Requirements

Enid F Webber Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to students entering any area of study. Selection based on need and academic merit. Achieve a 3.5 GPA with a course load of 30 course credits between the fall and winter terms combined. Submit your application by March 1.
Sobey Scholarship

CAD$28,000 (CAD$7,000 per year)
- Requirements
Awarded to a student in good academic standing, demonstrates financial need, with preference to those from Atlantic Canada. Achieve a 3.7 GPA with a course load of 30 course credits between the fall and winter terms combined. Submit your application by March 1.

MtA’s excellent science and liberal arts education attracts students from every corner of the globe. Over 50 nationalities are represented on campus and international students make up roughly 12% of the University’s student population.
MtA’s international center is staffed by professionals who work to support you both academically and personally. They’ll help you with issues like visas, passports, language proficiency, and adjusting to your new home.
All international students are invited to participate in an orientation program that begins a few days before domestic students start arriving. These activities are a great way to meet friends and get used to your new environment. You’ll also be paired up with a third or fourth-year student as part of the international mentorship program.
All international students are guaranteed a place in one of the University’s halls of residence.
