    Antwerp is a very nice student city, it is small enough to be able to walk or bike everywhere and there is also very good public transport. I always felt safe in the city. There is a huge selection of nice restaurants and bars, too.

How to study in Antwerp

To study in Antwerp, you’ll need to meet the entry requirements for the university you’re interested in. Requirements vary between programs and institutions, but completing your secondary education is essential.

It’s possible to study English-taught programs in Antwerp, but you might need to prove your language capabilities first. Most Belgian universities accept the TOEFL and IELTS tests, as well as the C1 Advanced assessment.

If you’re a non-EU/EEA citizen, you must apply for a student visa after receiving confirmation of your university place. This visa allows you to stay in Belgium for the duration of your studies.
