Study abroad at Adelphi University

Adelphi University is a private research university located in Garden City, just 40 minutes from New York City, US. It also has three smaller satellite locations in and around New York, in Manhattan, Hudson Valley and Suffolk County. The University offers 65 undergraduate majors and 20 graduate programs for international students, in eight schools and colleges.

As an international student, you can study on the Adelphi International program. This is designed to combine credit bearing courses with extra support during your first year, so you can adjust to life at Adelphi as quickly and successfully as possible.

Adelphi International students can enjoy all the facilities of the University, including the student clubs and organizations. There are 23 NCAA Division II sports teams you can cheer on, and the Center for Recreation and Sports has a gymnasium for basketball, volleyball or badminton, a fitness center, swimming pool and racquetball and squash courts, which are all free to use.

The Adelphi International program will give you personalized support throughout your journey, including free airport pickup when you arrive in the US. Classes are smaller, and include additional language and academic help to make sure you make the most of your time at Adelphi.

You’ll get the chance to learn and experience the local culture by going to events with the Adelphi International group. You can cheer on the Adelphi Panthers at football games or go on trips to explore New York City.

Undergraduates live on campus for the duration of their program, in fully furnished rooms with WiFi and laundry facilities. Living on campus is the best way to make new friends and get the full American college experience.
