Study abroad at Alma College

Alma College is a small, private institution located in the US state of Michigan. Students can choose from over 50 undergraduate and pre-professional programs across the sciences and liberal arts.

The College promises that every student will graduate with the knowledge, tools, and experiences they need to lead fulfilling careers and lives.

Alma College is home to a beautiful 128-acre campus with 27 major buildings, including teaching facilities, athletics venues, and residence halls. The College also owns a picturesque 200-acre ecological research area deep in the Michigan woodlands.

Thanks to the College's warm and friendly atmosphere, you'll soon feel part of the Alma family. With almost 100 student-led organizations, ranging from music and media, to spiritualism and sport, there's plenty to get involved in during your free time.

College athletes, known as Scots, compete in Division III of the NCAA. Alma fields 25 men's and women's teams in sports like basketball, soccer, tennis, and cross country.

  • Requirements: GPA of 3.5 to 4.0

  • Requirements: GPA of 2.5 to 3.0

Performance Scholarships

  • Amount: USD$1,500 per year
  • Requirements: Available to talented students in art, dance, music (both vocal and instrumental), theatre, and Scottish Arts.

E-sports Scholarship

  • Amount: USD$1,500 per year
  • Requirements: Awarded upon acceptance to incoming students (first year and transfer) who compete on the E-sports team

Faith Leadership Scholarship

  • Amount: USD$1,500
  • Requirements: The Faith Leadership Scholarship is awarded to incoming students who demonstrate the potential for leadership, innovation, and active engagement in spiritual life at Alma College. May be renewed for up to four years.

Referral Award

  • Amount: USD$1,500 per year
  • Requirements: Prospective students who ultimately attend Alma and are referred to Alma College by an alumnus, faculty, staff member, current student or friend of the college receive the Alma College Referral Award.

S-STEM Scholarship

  • Amount: USD$5,000 per year
  • Requirements: Alma College offers a limited number of STEM scholarships to incoming students. Available for students majoring in STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)
