Monmouth University (MU) is located along New Jersey’s northern coastline, less than one mile from the Atlantic Ocean. The University offers a welcoming and dynamic setting for students, with a range of innovative academic programs.
The University’s coastal campus is set over 168 acres and is just one hour from New York and Philadelphia. It is surrounded by history, the arts, technology and entrepreneurship offering students a wealth of cultural and recreational opportunities.
There are more than 110 clubs and organizations available to students, which include 16 fraternities and sororities, five media and publication organizations, and 25 honor societies. Their 23 athletics teams, including baseball, basketball, football, golf and lacrosse, compete in NCAA Division I.

Life as an international student
When you arrive on campus as an international student, you’ll receive personalized help for transitioning into life in the United States and the Monmouth University community. The University’s Global Education Office can provide help with things like visas and cultural programming.
There is a four day orientation each semester that’s designed to help you familiarize yourself with the campus, academic departments and the policies and procedures of the University. You’ll also be assigned a mentor who’ll partner with you and help you transition into college life.
Monmouth University offers hands-on education opportunities like the Curricular Practical Training which lets you take part in paid, off campus academic internships as an international student.

Every year, thousands of students receive financial aid packages. Those packages typically include scholarships, grants, student loans, and work-study that may be applied toward tuition and fees, room and board or living expenses, books, and other personal expenses.
Undergraduate scholarships from $2,000 - $17,000 given on prior academic performance and standardized test scores.
Graduate scholarships range from $4,000 to $6,800.
