    Dr Brian Haimbach says

Studying theatre is invaluable for developing language and interpersonal communications skills. It is a vital skill for students who wish to create their own content for use on social media as a way to break into the performance industry or as a way to establish a professional presence online.

It also helps with personal confidence and professional "soft skills" employers across the world are looking for including problem-solving, creative thinking, and small group communication. It is an excellent way to connect with what it means to be a human a world in which empathy, beauty, and connections are necessary for our survival.

The US is a huge country. Studying in Eugene, Oregon is beneficial due to the beauty of our city and the size of our college. We can offer individualized attention to students and we value diversity in our student population.

International students have a strong foundation for support at LCC and are welcomed by other students in all our classes. And our transfer program with the University of Wales Trinity St. David is an affordable way to earn your degree while studying with industry professionals.

Studying Theatre and Acting helps international students immerse themselves in their program of study. Theatre and Acting require our students to work much more closely with each other than in other academic fields.

They spend many hours in class and in rehearsal together and they make lifelong connections with their fellow students. They become part of a strong and closely connected community, which allows them to fully immerse themselves in the culture and language.

A degree in Theatre or Acting is an excellent degree to prepare students for a career in the field or in any other professional endeavor. They will be prepared for any career that requires analytical thinking, strong communication, and creative problem-solving.

Theatre and Acting students often go into the fields of education, entrepreneurship, public relations and marketing, and sales and customer service, just to name a few. Obviously many students pursue work in the live and digital performing arts or pursue additional study at the graduate level or at conservatories after earning their undergraduate degree.

Our Theatre faculty can assist our graduates with finding the right place to continue their studies and professional work.

University of Mount Union Theatre Studies
Tell us about studying theatre studies in the USA
We have a limited number of students for each class so the professors have a personal relationship with each student and this helps the students immensely because you can approach the professors in case you need help, not just with classwork but if you need to know where to get materials for your class, etc. My dance teacher recommended a dance clothes store and even talked to the store owner to offer her students discounts when they buy from her and that helped me a lot because I was new to the area and had no clue where to get the dance shoes or anything like that.

The University offers an all-round curriculum to prepare the students for the outside world in a way I appreciate a lot. With the classes one has to cover in order to graduate, there's no way one can go out there as just an arts or just a science student. I am currently studying math, which I do not like doing because I am not that good at it but there are tutors to help and good professors that make you feel differently about the subject, do I want to to do math? Absolutely not, but I do appreciate that I am studying it at this level and I know I will smile about it once I am done with the course.

There are academic advisers and each student has one, these do a good job helping you plan out your course load and and advise you which classes you can do together or when to take less credit hours if you have a particularly hard class in a given semester, everyone is available to you if you're not shy and can ask for help when you need it. I am doing Theatre and Communications, every lecture I attend reminds me everyday that I made the right decision coming to Mount Union. That said, you are free to disagree with the advisers and take on as much as you know you can handle up to the given maximum allowed every semester and they will still do their best to help you as you navigate that path.

The tuition is balanced off by a good amount of aid that is given by the University and you can keep this aid by maintaining a certain GPA requirement, this is so far the only reason I have been able to stay in school this far otherwise I would not have handled. The school also provides a payment plan so the students' parents or guardians can make the payments in small affordable installments overtime.
Did I mention one can also work on campus while studying? Oh yes, there are lots of jobs on campus, matter of fact I am working two right now. And everyone is really considerate because you get scheduled for work based on your class schedule, this gives you time to study as well as make some money to help with your upkeep and or contribute to your tuition.
