The thriving US city of Seattle is home to Seattle Pacific University (SPU). SPU is a Christian university offering over 170 undergraduate and graduate programs. The University’s most popular programs are in the fields of social science, business, and health.

The University’s 43-acre campus has fantastic facilities, including ultra-modern science labs, a large library, five halls of residence, a well-equipped gymnasium, and plenty of cafés to grab a coffee or bite to eat.

SPU is an active campus with over 60 student clubs and organizations to try out, as well as a popular intramural sports program. Those hoping to represent the University can try out for one of SPU’s varsity teams which compete in 14 sports at the NCAA Division II level.

Life as an international student

Currently, over 50 different nationalities are represented on SPU’s campus. The international student services office is available to help you with applications, visa issues, and settling into life at the University.

If you need extra help with your studies, the SPU’s student academic services have special support in place for international students. They can assist you with study techniques, English proficiency and time management.

SPU’s international student club is a great place to make friends and spend time with fellow students studying abroad. You can also become a member of clubs like the Filipino, Japanese, Latin, and Chinese student associations.

Although SPU is a Christian institution, you are not required to become a Christian to attend. All faiths are welcome on campus, but you should be prepared to engage in Christian classes and discussions.
