Los Medanos College (LMC) is an accredited public community college located in the famous San Francisco Bay Area, in the US state of California. There are two campuses, one in Pittsburg and the second one in Brentwood.

  • Requirements: Current LMC student transferring to a four-year institution in the upcoming fall semester. Minimum GPA of 3.5.

Scholarship for Successful Transfer CSU Transfer

  • Amount: US12,000 (US$6,000 for 2 years)
  • Deadline: February 24th
  • Requirements: Transferring to a California State University (CSU) in the upcoming fall semester. 3.0 GPA or above. Essay Question, Please discuss your thoughts on how improving the lives of women and families impacts society as a whole? How would winning this scholarship help you succeed in your education?

Carla Zilbersmith Memorial Scholarship

  • Amount: US$1,000
  • Deadline: February 24th
  • Requirements: Any LMC student showing outstanding talent in the performing arts and demonstrating their ability in acting, singing, or directing. Minimum GPA of 2.5. One letter of recommendation must be from a faculty member in the performing arts or music department from any school in or outside of the Contra Costa College District.
