      Marion, Where IWU is located, is not considered to be a nice city. Regardless of that fact, there is a lot of charm to it. Growing up in Canada, there was always limited options as to what chain restaurants and stores were available. Living in Marion, despite most saying that Marion doesn't have much, it feels like there are many more options. Marion also has a nice park called Matter park which is a beautiful place to walk and enjoy the outdoors. It might not be much, but when you look a little closer, there is beauty in Marion that most people don't see.

      There isn't much to do here in Marion. It doesn't bother me because I don't do much but stay in my room. Most things that I really need like hair supplies, I need to order. There are the basic stores like dollar general, Walmart, and TKmaxx that are close by. Other than that there isn't much to do or see. I must say this can be a plus though because it's always fun to go on road trips with friends to other cities which are close by.

      Tell us about Marion
      Marion for the most part appears safe, there are some areas that are less safe and are known to have higher crime statistics. Students tend to stay on campus apart from traveling to specific locations such as Meijer or to local coffee shops. There is little to no public transport so it is very important to have a car. The nightlife scene is very minimal, with the city only having a couple bars.

      Indiana Wesleyan University is located in Marion Indiana which is a small county located an hour from downtown Indianapolis. The atmosphere is very quiet and can feel the nature. Residents around here are very nice to us, and sometimes, I volunteer the community because helping the place where I feel like a second home just makes me feel well.

      Studying in Marion, Indiana. It is fairly safe but a pretty small town. Things close down by midnight. Plenty of shops and restaurants during the day. Numerous grocery stores just minutes from campus.
