Study abroad at Nova Southeastern University

Nova Southeastern University (NSU) is a private university based in Fort Lauderdale. Its main campus is the US town of Davie, Florida. The University offers a wide range of degree programs: students can choose from 150 degrees at the bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels.

Undergraduate students can choose from more than 50 majors and 50 minors in the arts and sciences, business, education and nursing.

The University’s postgraduate study focuses on some of the most popular fields in the country such as education, business, psychology, computer sciences, marine biology, criminal justice and health care.

On campus at NSU students have access to NCAA Division II sports, student activities, on-campus dining, coffee shops, and a close-knit campus community with dorm accommodation. There are also events throughout the year like the Anything That Floats Raft Race, Community Fest, homecoming week, and regular sporting events.You’re only a 15-minute drive from the beach too.

Life as an international student

The Office of International Affairs (OIA) at NSU promotes campus internationalization. They collaborate with faculty and staff to facilitate international education programs and initiatives, celebrate diversity, promote multiculturalism, and encourage the development of a global mindset.

The Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS) also supports international students with advice and information for any questions or issues you face during your time at NSU.

Fees and funding

NSU offers many scholarships. Some are based on academic standing and leadership qualities, others on your major, grades, ethnicity, and any number of things that are special about you.

  • Undergraduate tuition: US$34,500 per year

Funding

Academic Performance Scholarship

NSU awards undergraduate scholarships between US$10,000 and US$20,000 and transfer scholarships between US$11,000 and US$19,000 to international undergraduate students based on academic performance, and scholarships are awarded at point of admission. The average scholarship is US$12,000 per year and a GPA of 3.0 is automatic for the scholarship.

NSU Dean's Scholarship

A $5,000-$18,000 scholarship based on past academic achievement. All students are eligible for this scholarship when they apply to a Bachelor’s program at NSU. The award of this scholarship will be provided upon acceptance to a program and is awarded in Fall and Winter. Those selected earn the highest grades and present either the SAT or ACT scores.

Razor's Edge Global Scholarship

This scholarship is designed for domestic and international students entering college as first time freshmen who have a strong interest in global issues, international relations, global leadership, and cross-cultural understanding. The award amount is $24,000 ($20,000 tuition restricted, $3,500 campus housing, $500 meal plan).

Qualifications

  • If selected, the razors edge scholarship supersedes the Dean’s Scholarship and other adjustments to need awards/tuition only awards
  • Students are required to live on campus

Presidential Scholars

This is a Full Tuition award program which is awarded by invitation only to top achieving high school students and does require SAT or ACT scores submitted during the admission process.
