The University of South Carolina (UofSC) is a public research university based in Columbia, USA. Founded in 1801, the University has over 200 years of history and offers a wide range of majors and degrees at undergraduate and graduate level.
UofSC also offer the International Accelerator Program (IAP), designed to help international students adjust to life in the US, and give them the extra help and support they need. You can get help improving your English language skills, choosing which programs to choose and finding the right career for you after graduation.
The University campus offers a wide range of facilities and amenities for all students. The Horseshoe is the original site of the campus, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The campus has 24 residence halls, many academic buildings, a theater, an arts center and several sporting venues where the Universities sports teams compete.

As an international student on the International Accelerator Program (IAP), you will receive specialized on-campus orientation and classes that are tailored to your academic level and English language skills.
You will get picked up from the airport by IAP staff, making your first day in the US as easy as possible. You’ll also receive help choosing the right classes, with dedicated advisors and language and academic assistance available throughout your time at UofSC.
All international students are encouraged to live on campus, as this is a great way to get the true American college experience. There are more than 400 student clubs you can join on campus, as well as loads of events including a back-to-school party, trip to the State House, and volunteering opportunities.
