The town is situated on Lake Champlain to the west of the Green Mountains, offering potential students plenty of outdoor activities, including sailing, fishing and hiking.

The town is well linked to the surrounding area by bus, which offers services to Albany, New York and Hanover, New Hampshire. The nearest big city is Montreal, which is a two hour car journey away across the Canadian border, or you can reach Boston in less than three and a half hours.
