Achievement Awards Achievement Awards are automatic, merit-based scholarships based on GPA. Award amounts will vary up to $48,000 (up to $12,000 per year renewable). These awards will be applied toward tuition only. All non-resident freshmen who submit an application for admission complete with a self-reported high school GPA are automatically considered. The Achievement Award amounts are as follows

  • 3.84/4.0: $12,000 per year renewable for four years ($48,000 four-year value)
  • 3.59/3.83: $11,000 per year renewable for four years ($44,000 four-year value)
  • 3.28/3.58: $10,000 per year renewable for four years ($40,000 four-year value)
  • 3.10/3.27: $6,000 per year renewable for four years ($24,000 four-year value)
  • 2.70/3.09: $4,000 per year renewable for four years ($16,000 four-year value)

Presidential Scholarship The Presidential Scholarships are Montana State University's most distinguished academic awards, recognizing scholastic achievement, demonstrated leadership and unique personal qualities. Scholarship recipients receive annual tuition waivers, a generous stipend and priority registration. The Presidential Scholarship is a rigorous, competitive application. Recipients of the scholarship routinely have a 3.9+ GPA, >1450 SAT (for Fall Incoming First Year Students) and are ranked in the top 3% of their class.
