Depan International Freshman Student Scholarship

US$2,000 awarded annually over eight consecutive semesters for a freshman student on an F-1 or J-1 visa.

Depan International Transfer Student Scholarship

US$2,000 awarded annually over four semesters for a transfer student on an F-1 or J-1 visa.

President’s International Freshman Student Scholarship

US$6,000 awarded annually and renewable up to four years for qualified freshman students on F-1 or J-1 visa.

  • Proof of English proficiency
  • Personal essay and letter of recommendation along with your application

President’s International Transfer Student Scholarship

US$6,000 awarded annually and renewable up to three years for qualified transfer students on F-1 or J-1 visa.

Qualifications

  • GPA 3.5
  • Two years of university (up to 60 credits) or an AA degree
  • Proof of English proficiency
  • Personal essay and letter of recommendation along with your application

Latin America & Caribbean Scholarship Program, Dorothy F. Schmidt College Of Arts & Letters

This scholarship program has been developed to provide opportunity for exemplary students from Latin American and Caribbean countries to study in the College of Arts and Letters at Florida Atlantic University. The scholarship award will be US$500 per term for fall and spring. Funding for one summer is possible.

Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled full time in an undergraduate or graduate program in the College of Arts and Letters
  • GPA 3.5
  • Must be approved for study in the US with an F-1 visa or J-1 visa
  • Must be a citizen of legal resident of one of the countries or territories permitted by the scholarship

Latin America & Caribbean Scholarship Program, Wilkes Honors College

Citizens of a Latin American or Caribbean Nation with valid passport or government ID. Approximately US$14,000 per year.

Florida Linkage Institutes Tuition Waiver Awards

For students from specific countries and/or regions, Florida Statute 288.9175 established Linkage Institutes between postsecondary institutions in the state of Florida and foreign countries. Each institute is allowed to provide out-of-state tuition exemptions for up to 25 full-time equivalent students per year from the respective host countries to study in any of the state universities or state colleges in this state as resident students for tuition purposes.
