    McMurry University is a small, private liberal arts university in Abilene, Texas. The University offers a welcoming environment at its beautiful 52-acre campus, which is built to support student growth and success.

    Shaped by their Christian principles, McMurry University challenges its students to examine our complex world from multiple perspectives in preparation for lives of leadership, service, and professional success.

    McMurry offers a wide and diverse range of academic programs, with students able to choose from 45 majors and 38 minors in areas like the arts, business, education, and science. The campus is full of great facilities to support you like a fully stocked library, post office, restaurants, bookstore, gym, and swimming pool.

    Outside of the classroom, there are loads of things you can sink your teeth into at McMurry. The University has more than 40 student clubs you can join, and 21 intercollegiate sports you can get involved in. McMurry’s sports teams are known as the War Hawks, and they compete in the NCAA Division III American Southwest Conference.

    The University knows that it can be difficult studying in a new country, that’s why when you start at McMurry you’ll attend orientation, known as Welcome Week. The week is full of events and will help you meet and get to know other students and get to know the campus.

All international students live on campus, which means you’ll be in the middle of the action at all times. It’s a great way to immerse yourself in everything life at McMurry has to offer.       Portland Community College has a variety of resources and services for students. For instance, PCC has a free tutoring and writing center, food banks, multicultural centers, queer centers, women's centers, and free shuttles. Also, PCC has a lot of club activities and events. I feel PCC is a kind and comfortable environment for everyone.

      McMurry social life stands out for having very open and nice people. Facilities are a bit outdated but are slowly developing into new modern facilities. Accommodation is not that good. Dorms are very old.

      Accommodate is good. Facilities are close so no issues with transport. There are stores and eat out places off campus that can be accessed in less than 10 mins if you don’t mind trekking.

    Undergraduate Scholarships

    • Amount: Range from US$14,500 to US$17,000 and are renewable for four years.
    • Requirements: International undergraduate students may be eligible for merit scholarships based on their secondary school GPA, test scores, or transferable college GPA. Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis after admission.
