The University’s campus offers a wide range of facilities designed to support your studies. There’s an extensive library, computer labs, laptops available to borrow, and group study areas, as well as areas for personal study. In the last eight years, Aston has invested over £10 million in upgrading its laboratory space.

The campus also offers lots of recreational facilities, including a sports center with a 25m swimming pool, a multi-purpose gym, sports halls, squash courts, dance and martial arts studios, plus a wide variety of fitness classes. Aston’s Students’ Union (SU) organizes a range of societies focusing on sports, special interests, and cultural diversity.

Life as an international student

As an international student at Aston University you’ll join a community of more than 130 nationalities, so you won’t be on your own. The University is based in the center of Birmingham, one of the most diverse cities in the UK.

If you choose to study a pathway program, you will first study at Kaplan International College (KIC) London, which will fully prepare you for your studies at Aston. Before the start of your program you’ll take part in a Welcome Week which is designed to help you get to know the college and settle in.

You’ll study alongside other international students, making it a great way to transition into life studying in the UK. After your program you can then begin your studies at Aston University, and staff will help you sort out your accommodation and complete and paperwork necessary.
