The University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons (FHGR), formerly known as HTW Chur, attracts students from both inside and outside Switzerland due to its welcoming atmosphere. The University prides itself on being an innovative and entrepreneurial university with around 1,700 students. Based in the Alpine city of Chur, it has been part of the University of Applied Sciences of Eastern Switzerland (FHO) since 2000.
Despite being a small university, FHGR is able to offer programs in architecture, civil engineering, digital science, management, multimedia production, photonics, technology and tourism. The University conducts applied research and can also offer students services across all of its disciplines to advance and develop them during their time at the University. You also have the opportunity to join in with a wide range of sports offered by the University, or there is a university choir for those who are more musical.
